It is not a record, not even a personal best but I am quite happy with the timing. Last year, I completed in 3:12. This year, the route was different and I had prepared only on a tread mill due to unpredictable weather patterns in Singapore.

I am hoping to participate and complete 4 marathons next year. Wish me good luck :-)

The three RHCEs come respectively from America continent, Europe and Asia Pacific.

For this year 2007, I have been selected as the “RHCE of the year, APAC”. I was a bit hesitant to write about this in my blog for a few months for the fear of being stamped as being boasting. Now, due to the encouragement of my friends, I finally decided to post the details of my award. Thanks guys, you know who you are are!

Last year, due to other commitments (or excuses ;) ), I didn’t take the challenge. On the event day, I saw a marathoner returning home after successfully completing the marathon and my heart sank. I said, I will not miss any more.

This year, with the guidance of some veteran marathoners I did a proper & satisfactory training and participated in Half-Marathon. Not only I completed it, but I came out with a personal best timing. Last time it was 3:50 minutes and this year it was 3:12 minutes.

I finished it in 03:50 Hrs.

Last year I completed the 10KM for the first time. Time taken was around 1:20 Hrs.

I thought it was a factor of two when compared to 10 clicks. I grossly under-estimated it. The last few clicks was merely walking, virtually dragging my feet. Given that Iam a heavy built, and didn’t train much compared to last year due to my exams, the mere completion of the race was my prize.
