Google's 2007 April fool's joke ?

Just bumped into the TiSP(BETA) program from Google. TiSP apparently stands for Toilet Internet Service Provider. The idea is to run, or rather flush, fiber optic cable (with a sinker) through your toilet and when it reaches the nearest TiSP access node, Plumbing Hardware Dispatchers (PHDs) will remove the sinker and plug the line into Google’s global data networking system.
